We’ve all got treats from our childhood that, when we see them, bring a smile to your face. All those nostalgic memories come flooding back. And I’m sure in the future these Happy Hippo’s from Kinder and going to bring a smile to today’s kids.
Reflections and Patterns
Do you ever sit there with an object and and ask yourself something along the lines of “I wonder what would happen if…” I often do. And this time I was just curious to see what sort of patterns would be cast the the array of glasses and empty bottles I have in my collection. As you’d imagine, something like this whiskey glass really shows off it’s simple design.
But when you get to glass that’s imperfect, you really don’t predict how it will affect the pattern being thrown.
And then when you know one aspect, you can then start adding other elements asking the same question, “I wonder what will happen when…” And just keep building from there until you have something great. Or it starts to look awful and you know you’ve gone too far.
But don’t be afraid to try,. Even when you don’t get anything you like, you’ve gained some knowledge that may be useful later.

Shades of Brown
Making an image monochromatic (shades of just one colour) can focus the attention of your viewer to the shape and form of your products, Add in props that don’t quite fit the normal image of your product adds a layer of interest.
Stop playing with your food.
I was a fussy eater as a child, still am a little to be honest. I lost count of the times that my parents told me to stop playing with my food. I ignored them then and I still love messing about when I can. This shoot was inspired by those times.
